We as storytellers document things that have happened in the past, mostly through reflection. WPSU’s How We Endure interface gives us the unique opportunity to record a historical event as it happens, using the voices of our community.
Every generation has lived through at least one historical moment that has altered their lives — 9/11, the Kennedy and MLK assassinations, to name a few. We will look back on the Coronavirus as one of those moments. The difference about this moment is that it is happening slowly, with changes virtually every week, day and sometimes an hour. This slow-moving moment provides us the opportunity to reflect and record our feelings and reactions inside the history… as history unfolds in front of us.
